LED inspection lamps are long and narrow and packed with clusters of blubs which make for very bright light so are ideal for night activities or working in dark spaces. They also often complete with a rubberised soft grip handle for extra comfort too. Perfect for DIY and vehicle work as well as being useful in the car or during a power cut, they are compact and light to carry. They can even double as an emergency power bank for charging your phone or tablet too.Ī recognisable staple in any home, handheld torches are usually battery operated, although they can be solar powered, and are handy for illuminating even the darkest of corners. Waterproof and very heavy duty, they are extremely reliable and made to last. Mains powered but with a long lasting battery back up, these heavy duty torches are designed to be mounted high up on a support or simply places on the ground rather than held in your hand. Outdoor site torches look more like rectangular lights than torches and are specifically aimed at construction workers, emergency rescue personnel and recovery operations where bright light is required across a larger space. Get stuck in and find exactly what you need to illuminate your workshop or garage. Right here on eBay, youll find a huge range of home workshop equipment from big names like Draper, Sealey, DeWalt and Milwaukee all in one place. The new lites are great, but the mag-lite is better if you have to smack someone.Sometimes standard lighting just isnt quite bright enough, especially when you need reliable high powered lighting for detailed work in dark or gloomy areas. I went on the Mag site but did not see chargers for sale.Īny advice? The metal cradle has a wire extending out from it that you can connect to a wall plug or a 12v source, depending on what you're using at the time, check that plug-in at the connection and also check it it the very end where it goes into the cradle.Wiggle it back and forth and see if the red charging indicator comes on, if it does, you just need to get the connection re-done or soldered. The Mag is about 17 years old but I work days so I'm not in a hurry to buy a new one if I can fix/replace the charger. I bought a new battery so I know that is not the problem. Needless to say it will not charge this way. When I put it in it's recharging cradle the red LED light does not come on to show it is charging however when I depress the flashlight 'on' button the LED light comes on. My Mag Lite charger does not seem to be working (and no, it's not unplugged).
